Alison LEE
Alison Lee was born in South Korea, and lives in Los Angeles in the United States. She is an artist who has a very peculiar style characterised by artistic experiments.
Even though a lot of the works she produces are abstract paintings, her prolific spirit allows her to combine traditional tools such as acrylics.
Lee’s unique touch is to include fabric textures for her expressive characters. These textiles invoke a part of nature, enriching the contemplative experience of the art work.
According to the artist, Art is the epitome of beauty. In her eyes, Art transcends all limits, stimulating intuitions and emotions thanks to profound externalised experiences. It is a source of comfort and excites the spirit by re-enforcing the connections between us and the essence of nature.
In this approach Alison Lee wishes to bring to light this complicity and connection between the human conscience and the rich history of nature by going even further than forms and colours.
As an emerging painter in a competitive and dynamic art city, her work and confidence are always expanding.
Currently working from her house, Lee enjoys time with her children and tries to share with them her passion for creation.
Her next set of artworks will explore Christianism and faith, while delving deeper in abstraction. Through artistic experimentation which will nurture her soul, the artist seeks to find some kind of interior peace.
