Highlights from the 2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of FOCUS Art Fair London will feature more than 50 artists from across Asia and its diaspora, represented by over 30 leading galleries from Tokyo, Seoul, New Delhi, Singapore, London, Los Angeles, and beyond.

Among the headline names:

Meekyoung Shin, celebrated for her soap sculptures that reinvent Chinese porcelain and Buddha figures, playfully explores themes of impermanence, history, and cultural memory.

Jaejun Lee, whose porcelain works blend traditional craft with innovative glazes and forms, creates meditations on time, thought, and repetition.

A group exhibition from the Philippines led by pioneering installation artist Luis E. Yee Jr. (Junyee), alongside artists such as Pong Bayog and Doktor Karayom, who push material boundaries and confront human experience in powerful ways.

Kento Senga, Japanese artist and pop star (of Kis-My-Ft2), is unveiling new works in his self-defined style FiNGAiSM, where painting and sculpture merge through the immediacy of touch.

Yi Crafts, a studio preserving the endangered crafts and cuisine of China’s Bai ethnic minority, adds a deeply human layer that bridges visual art with lived cultural practices.

Why London Matters

With more than 100,000 visitors and £10 million in sales since its launch, FOCUS is carving out a distinct identity in the art fair ecosystem. By choosing London — a city with both a thriving Asian diaspora and a global collecting scene, the fair taps into a unique convergence of cultures.

The timing is also strategic. The appetite for Asian art is growing internationally, with collectors and institutions increasingly recognising its innovation, complexity, and global significance. The fair offers London audiences the chance to encounter works that are redefining what “contemporary” looks like in the 21st century.

Beyond the White Cube

Partnerships also play a key role in shaping the FOCUS experience. For 2025, the fair aligns with LG Electronics, Cassina, Diptyque, the Philippines Centre for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), and Sotheby’s Institute of Art, weaving together art, design, and lifestyle in ways that resonate with contemporary luxury and cross-disciplinary creativity.

This multidimensional approach ensures that FOCUS is not just another fair — it’s a cultural event. It’s about experiencing art in dialogue with design, technology, and heritage.

A New Perspective on Contemporary Asian Art

For collectors, curators, and culture-seekers, FOCUS Art Fair London 2025 offers more than an opportunity to acquire works. It offers insight into the cultural conversations shaping Asia today: how heritage adapts to innovation, how globalisation reshapes identity, and how artists across the continent are imagining new futures.

In an art world often dominated by Western narratives, FOCUS brings balance and brilliance.

FOCUS Art Fair London 2025: Contemporary Asian Art Takes Centre Stage at Saatchi Gallery

This autumn, London’s Saatchi Gallery becomes the meeting point of East and West as FOCUS Art Fair London returns for its fourth UK edition (16–19 October 2025). Widely regarded as Europe’s leading art fair dedicated to contemporary Asian art, FOCUS has become an essential platform for artists, galleries, and collectors who want to explore the cultural energy shaping Asia’s creative landscape today.

The Global Stage for Contemporary Asian Art

Since its founding in 2019 by Sungmin Hong and Jungwon Lee, FOCUS Art Fair has staged over 45 exhibitions worldwide, spanning Paris, Porto, and New York. Its mission is clear: to connect Asian artists and their diasporas with international audiences, showcasing a diverse range of voices that span from established names to the boldest new talent.

What sets FOCUS apart is its identity as the only international art fair dedicated solely to contemporary Asian art. It has grown into a cultural bridge, creating a dialogue between traditions rooted in centuries of practice and the radical experimentation of today’s studios.

“Now is the perfect moment to establish a contemporary Asian art fair within the London market,” explains Boram Lee, Deputy Director at FOCUS. “The fair aims to engage not only the city’s vibrant Asian diaspora, but also local audiences, collectors, and cultural institutions. We see it as an unmissable event in London’s cultural calendar.”
